Homemade Spiced Chai Mix
Servings: Makes about 20 servings

Ingredients
1 cup black tea leaves
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the black tea leaves and powdered milk.
2. Add the sugar and all the ground spices: cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and black pepper.
3. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
4. Transfer the spiced chai mix into clean, dry glass jars with tight-fitting lids.
5. To prepare a cup of chai, add 2 tablespoons of the mix to a cup of hot water or milk, stir well, and enjoy.
Variations & Tips
For a caffeine-free version, substitute the black tea leaves with rooibos tea. You can also adjust the sweetness by using less sugar or a sugar substitute. For a creamier chai, add more powdered milk or use a non-dairy creamer. Feel free to experiment with the spice levels to suit your taste—more ginger for a spicier kick, or extra cinnamon for a sweeter blend.
