Variations & Tips
For a bit of heat, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture. If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the chicken once cooked and transfer the sauce to a saucepan. Simmer on medium heat until it reduces to your desired consistency. You can also add sliced onions or bell peppers to the slow cooker for extra flavor and texture.
