Pickle Juice String Cheese Recipe

Instructions:

  1. Prep the cheese: Unwrap the string cheese sticks and place them in a clean, airtight container or jar.

  2. Add flavor (optional): If using extras like garlic or red pepper, toss them into the jar.

  3. Pour pickle juice: Cover the cheese completely with pickle juice. Seal the container.

  4. Marinate:

    • Minimum soak: 3 days for a subtle pickle flavor (as you tried).

    • Longer soak: 5–7 days for a stronger, tangier taste.

  5. Enjoy: Remove with a clean fork and pat dry if desired. The texture stays perfectly stringy!

Tips:

  • Use full-fat string cheese for the best texture (low-fat may get mushy).

  • For a quick version, soak 24 hours—flavor will be milder.

  • Try with different pickles (bread & butter for sweetness, spicy pickles for heat).
