Ingredients and Preparation

To create the perfect oven-baked honey garlic sausages, start by gathering high-quality ingredients. You’ll need your favorite sausages, preferably made from pork or chicken, as these meats absorb the flavors beautifully. The star of the show is the sauce, which requires a blend of honey, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of olive oil. These ingredients meld together to form a glaze that’s both sticky and flavorful.

Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven warms up, prepare the sauce by mixing half a cup of honey with four cloves of minced garlic and two tablespoons of soy sauce. Add a tablespoon of olive oil to this mixture to help the flavors penetrate the sausages and ensure they remain moist during baking.

Marinating the Sausages

The next step is to marinate the sausages. Place them in a large dish and pour the honey garlic mixture over them. Ensure each sausage is thoroughly coated, then cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Marinating allows the sausages to absorb the sweet and savory notes of the sauce, intensifying their flavor.

Baking to Perfection

Once marinated, transfer the sausages to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This prevents sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. Arrange the sausages in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. This spacing allows the heat to circulate evenly, ensuring that each sausage cooks thoroughly.

Bake the sausages in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Halfway through the baking time, turn the sausages to ensure they brown evenly on all sides. As they bake, the honey garlic glaze will caramelize, creating a sticky, golden crust that enhances both the texture and flavor of the sausages.
