Oatmeal Apple Bake

Preheat your  oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch

  1.  baking dish or a similar-sized baking pan.
  2. Prepare the apples: Peel, core, and chop the apples into small cubes. Set aside.
  3. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and brown sugar (if using).
  4. Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry oat mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Add apples and optional ingredients: Fold in the diced apples, chopped nuts, and dried fruit (if using).
  7. Pour into the baking dish: Transfer the oatmeal mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake: Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the oatmeal is set and golden brown on top. You can check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center—if it comes out clean, it’s ready.
  9. Cool and serve: Let the oatmeal bake cool for a few minutes before serving. It can be enjoyed warm as a comforting breakfast or a snack.

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh fruit (like sliced bananas or berries)
  • A dollop of Greek yogurt or a drizzle of almond butter
  • A sprinkle of granola for added crunch

Make-Ahead Tip:

You can prep this oatmeal apple bake the night before! Simply assemble everything in the baking dish, cover it, and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, just pop it in the oven for a warm, ready-to-eat breakfast.
