Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light grease.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, Bisquick, cheddar cheese, milk, and freshly chopped chives.
3. Use your hands to thoroughly mix the ingredients until well incorporated.
4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet with space in between.
5. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Variations & Tips

For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use spicy sausage. You can also experiment with different cheeses, such as pepper jack or gouda, for a unique flavor profile. If you’re looking to make these gluten-free, substitute the Bisquick with a gluten-free baking mix. For a touch of sweetness, consider adding a tablespoon of maple syrup to the mixture.
