My grandma would prepare these in bulk for the community, and I’m now carrying on her tradition!
Directions
1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and 1/4 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
2. Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove the seeds.
3. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, orange juice, and sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
4. Pour in the remaining 3 3/4 cups of cold water and stir to combine.
5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld.
6. To serve, fill glass jars with ice cubes and pour the strawberry citrus lemonade over the ice.
7. Garnish each jar with slices of lemon, orange, and fresh strawberries.
8. Enjoy your refreshing homemade strawberry citrus lemonade!
Variations & Tips
For a fun twist, try adding a handful of fresh mint leaves to the pitcher for a hint of minty freshness. If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup or substitute with honey or agave syrup to taste. For an adult version, consider adding a splash of vodka or rum for a delightful cocktail. You can also experiment with other fruits, such as raspberries or blueberries, for a different flavor profile.
