My grandma used to make these in large amounts for everyone, and now I’m keeping the tradition alive!
Directions
Boil the water in a medium saucepan.
Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or sugar until dissolved.
Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
In a large pitcher, combine the chilled tea, lemon slices, orange slices, and strawberries.
Fill glass jars or cups with ice cubes, then pour the citrus berry tea over the ice
Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a different twist, try using green tea instead of black tea for a lighter flavor. You can also experiment with different berries, such as raspberries or blueberries, to change the flavor profile. If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the amount of honey or sugar, or use a natural sweetener like stevia. For an adult version, consider adding a splash of vodka or gin for a refreshing cocktail.
