Mom marinates pork chops in the most delightful sauce. You have to give it a try.
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the chicken fillets in a glass baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, honey, balsamic vinegar, oregano, basil, and minced garlic.
Pour the tomato herb sauce over the chicken fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is thickened.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. If you have picky eaters, you can reduce the amount of garlic or use a milder herb like thyme instead of oregano. For a creamier sauce, stir in a tablespoon of cream or a dollop of sour cream before serving. You can also add sliced bell peppers or mushrooms to the baking dish for extra flavor and nutrition.
