Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Salmon
-
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
-
Season both sides with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
2️⃣ Sear the Salmon
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet (nonstick or cast iron) over medium-high heat.
-
Place salmon skin-side down (if using skin-on) and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
-
Remove salmon and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce
-
Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter with olive oil.
-
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
-
Stir in lemon juice, zest, honey, Dijon mustard (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
4️⃣ Glaze & Serve
-
Return salmon to the skillet and spoon sauce over the fillets. Simmer for 1–2 minutes to glaze.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve warm with extra sauce drizzled on top.
Tips for Success
✔ Don’t overcrowd the pan – cook salmon in batches if needed.
✔ Adjust sweetness – skip honey for a tangier sauce.
