Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut the head of cabbage into thick slices, about 1 inch thick.
Place the cabbage slices on a lined baking sheet.
Brush each slice with olive oil.
Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper evenly over the slices.
Add a sprinkle of dried thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the inside is tender.
In the last few minutes of baking, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of each slice and let it melt.
Remove from the oven and serve hot.
Variations & Tips
For a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the seasoning mix. If you have fresh herbs on hand, feel free to use them instead of dried ones for a more vibrant flavor. You can also experiment with different cheeses; try using mozzarella or cheddar for a different twist. For a vegan version, skip the Parmesan or use a plant-based cheese alternative. To make it more of a meal, top with a poached egg or some crispy bacon bits.
