Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Rub:
In a small bowl, combine the paprika, cumin, and garlic salt. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  2. Season the Drumsticks:
Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the drumsticks, then rub it into the skin to coat them thoroughly.
  3. Slow Cook the Drumsticks:
Place the seasoned drumsticks in the slow cooker. Pour 1 cup of BBQ sauce over the chicken, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through. (If you’re short on time, you can cook on high for 2-3 hours instead.)
  4. Prepare for Broiling:
Preheat your broiler and line a baking sheet with foil. Lightly grease the foil with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Broil for a Glazed Finish:
Once the drumsticks are done in the slow cooker, transfer them to the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the remaining BBQ sauce generously over the drumsticks. Broil for 1-5 minutes, or until the sauce begins to caramelize and brown slightly.
  6. Flip and Finish:
Remove the drumsticks from the oven, flip them over, and brush with the remaining BBQ sauce. Return to the broiler for another 1-5 minutes, or until the second side is caramelized and golden.
  7. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the drumsticks hot as the star of your meal. Pair them with your favorite sides and enjoy the juicy, flavorful goodness!

This recipe is a game-changer for busy days or when you want to impress guests without spending hours in the kitchen. Tender, saucy, and bursting with flavor, these crock pot chicken drumsticks are bound to become a family favorite! 🥘🍗
