Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente (check package time).
Drain, reserving ¼ cup pasta water, and set aside.
2. Crisp the Bacon
Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add bacon and cook until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings in the pan.
3. Sauté Aromatics & Mushrooms
In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant (~2 mins).
Add mushrooms and cook until golden and tender (~5 mins).
4. Make the Cream Sauce
Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 mins until slightly thickened.
Stir in Parmesan until melted. If needed, thin with reserved pasta water.
5. Combine & Finish
Toss in cooked spaghetti and bacon. Coat evenly in the sauce.
Season with salt and pepper.
6. Serve
Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan. Pair with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
