Copied this famous restaurant’s chicken recipe, and boy were the results out of this world
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, honey, vegetable oil, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the honey mustard sauce.
3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour half of the honey mustard sauce over them, reserving the other half for later.
4. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
5. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
6. Remove the chicken from the oven and top each breast with 2 slices of crispy bacon.
7. Sprinkle the Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses evenly over the bacon-topped chicken.
8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve with the reserved honey mustard sauce on the side.
Variations & Tips
For a lighter version, you can use turkey bacon and reduce the amount of cheese. If you have picky eaters, consider serving the honey mustard sauce on the side so everyone can add it to their liking. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions on top of the chicken for an extra layer of flavor. For a spicy kick, mix a bit of hot sauce into the honey mustard sauce.
